During the Lunar New Year of Renwu, I treated a woman with a prominent supraorbital nevus accompanied by menstrual irregularities and adnexitis. The following 10-dose formula was prescribed: Angelica sinensis 10 g, Paeonia lactiflora 10 g, Ligusticum chuanxiong 10 g, Rehmannia glutinosa 10 g, Prunus persica kernel 10 g, Carthamus tinctorius 10 g, Bupleurum chinense 10 g, Citrus aurantium 10 g, Platycodon grandiflorus 10 g, Achyranthes bidentata 10 g, Dioscorea opposita 10 g, Magnolia officinalis 10 g, Scutellaria baicalensis 10 g, Poria cocos 10 g, Zeolite 10 g, Cistanche deserticola 10 g, Taraxacum officinale 10 g, Herba Leonuri 10 g, Daphne odora 10 g, Eucommia ulmoides 10 g, Spathiphyllum 10 g, and others. After completing the 10 doses, the nevus completely disappeared. This formula is essentially Wang Qingren’s Xuefu Zhuyu Tang with added ingredients.
