Another Formula for Dizziness Caused by Vertebrobasilar Arteriosclerosis 2003.3.12

At the beginning of the Lunar New Year of Renwu, a woman suffered from dizziness due to arteriosclerosis for three months, accompanied by tinnitus and headache, with blood pressure at 140/90 mmHg. The prescribed formula included: Curculigo orchioides 10 g, Epimedium 10 g, Morinda officinalis 10 g, Anemarrhena asphodeloides 6 g, Phellodendron amurense 6 g, Angelica sinensis 10 g, Mulberry leaves 10 g, Chrysanthemum 15 g, Paeonia lactiflora 10 g, Magnolia officinalis 10 g, Rehmannia glutinosa 10 g, Codonopsis pilosula 10 g, Zeolite 30 g, Gastrodia elata 10 g, Uncaria rhynchophylla 30 g, Tribulus terrestris 30 g, and Stellera chamaejasme 20 g. Decoct in water and take seven doses, with noticeable effects. I recall that six years ago, General Manager Cai Zimin of Baiyin Company was treated with a similar formula, which included Guan Xin II and Hirudo 10 g (for brewing), as well as Panax notoginseng 3 g (for brewing). Additional adjustments could also be made by adding Ligusticum chuanxiong to tea.
