Scleroderma prescription on May 5, 1979

Indicated for unexplained swelling, hardening, and pigmentation of the skin, with shiny, atrophic skin, fine and rapid pulse, and dark purple tongue with yellow coating.

Prescription: Angelica sinensis 24g, Salvia miltiorrhiza 24g, frankincense and myrrh each 6g, Prunella vulgaris 15g, Scrophularia ningpoensis 24g, Corydalis yanhusuo 12g, Lysimachia christinae 24g, turmeric 12g, blood resin 6g, Polygonum multiflorum 15g, Millettia reticulata 24g, honeysuckle 24g.

Modifications: For those with qi and blood deficiency, add Astragalus membranaceus, Guizhi, Angelica sinensis, and white peony; for yang deficiency, add Fuzi and Cinnamomum cassia. (Nankai Hospital, Tianjin)
