18g of kudzu root, 9g of Guizhi, 9g of white peony, 9g of licorice, 9g of ginger, 15g of jujube, 6g of Ephedra sinica, 9g of apricot kernel, 18g of raw gypsum, 10g of Danggui tail, 3g of rhubarb, 18g of sea buckthorn bark, 18g of white moss bark, 30g of tribulus terrestris, 12g of sophora flavescens, 12g of soap nut thorns, and 6g of cicada slough.

Mnemonic: “Ephedra, apricot kernel, gypsum, kudzu root—this is the ‘Ma Xing Shi Gan’ formula, with big cicadas, white tails, and bitter soap nuts.”
