Application of three animal medicines on March 16, 1980
Silkworm pupa, whole scorpion, and centipede all have the effects of dispelling wind, relieving pain, detoxifying, and dispersing nodules. Their wind-dispelling effects are broadly similar, as they can all dispel wind, making them effective in alleviating acute spasms. Beyond this common effect, whole scorpion has particularly strong pain-relieving properties, centipede excels at detoxification, and silkworm pupa is especially effective at dispersing nodules. Based on this, whole scorpion is often used for conditions like trigeminal neuralgia, silkworm pupa for swollen lymph nodes, and centipede for detoxification and clearing heat, proving highly effective for long-standing tuberculosis cases.
