The "Shanghan Lun" records: "For dry vomiting with foamy saliva and headache, Wu Zhu Yu Tang is the principal prescription." Clinically, besides being used for neural headaches, it can also treat acute congestive glaucoma, scintillating scotoma, visual fatigue syndrome (symptoms caused by eye accommodation fatigue), and keratitis.
