New Prescription for Meniere’s Disease, February 12, 1992

10 g of Sang Ye, 15 g of Ju Hua, 10 g of Dan Pi, 10 g of Shan Zhi, 10 g of Bai Zhu, 20 g of Ze Xie, 20 g of Gou Teng, 15 g of Dai Zhe Shi, 6 g of Ban Xia, 6 g of Chen Pi, 12 g of Fu Ling, and 6 g of Gan Cao. Decocted in water and taken once daily. The distinctive feature of this formula lies in its combination of Wu Ling San, Hou Pu Gou Teng Tang, and Ban Xia Gou Teng Tang, which sets it apart from other prescriptions for this condition. Hence, it can be aptly named “Four Pairs and Two Chen Tang.”
