A Revelation on Treating Aplastic Anemia, March 1, 1992
The saying goes: “When the Four Gods meet, there’s chicken, dan, black mountain, dragon horse, three seeds, and rong.” What are the Four Gods? They are Sheng Di Huang, He Shou Wu, Xian He Cao, and Tu Da Huang; “dan” refers to Dan Pi and Dan Shen; “black” means black sesame; “mountain” is Shan Zhu Yu Rou; “dragon” is Long Yan Rou; “horse” is Ma Qian Zi; the “three seeds” are Tu Si Zi, Gou Qi Zi, and Nü Zhen Zi; and “rong” is Rou Cong Rong.
This formula integrates blood circulation promotion, yang tonification and kidney nourishment, as well as yin nourishment and blood replenishment, making it an excellent remedy for aplastic anemia. After 30 years of clinical practice, I’ve come to this realization, which is why I’m recording it. When used in conjunction with Gui Pi Tang, the therapeutic effect is even more pronounced.
