A Discovery Regarding Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, December 1, 1992
Patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia suffer from a fundamental imbalance between qi deficiency and blood excess. The Lanzhou formula focuses on greatly replenishing qi to address the root cause, while the symptom of excessive proliferation calls for San Leng, E Zhu, soil bugs, leeches, and Ma Qian Zi. The high ESR in leukemia reflects underlying physiological changes in the body. Can it be treated with Chuan Wu and Cao Wu? Can it be treated with Gui Zhi Fu Zi Tang? These questions remain to be clinically verified.
