Prognosis for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, June 10, 1993

The prognosis of this disease is closely related to four indicators: splenomegaly, anemia, platelet count, and white blood cell count. Patients with massive splenomegaly, platelet count below 100 × 10^9^/L, white blood cell count above 250 × 10^9^/L, and hemoglobin below 60 g/L have a poor prognosis. Those without these indicators have a better prognosis, while those with one or two of them have a relatively poorer prognosis.
