Brief Discussion on the Clinical Use of Typha Pollen, August 18, 1993
Typha pollen is the dried and matured flower powder of Typha angustifolia, a hydrophilic herb belonging to the Typhaceae family. It has a sweet taste and neutral nature, entering the liver and pericardium meridians, promoting blood circulation and stopping bleeding when stir-fried. Recent studies have shown that this herb can lower lipids and prevent arteriosclerosis, as well as dilate coronary arteries, stimulate the uterus, and relieve stomach pain. Topical application can treat eczema.
