Musk contains urea, which, besides having a diuretic effect, also promotes metabolism and detoxification. The aforementioned diuretic effect can be considered a promoting effect. The drug’s labor-inducing effect can be seen as promoting contraction of the uterine smooth muscle, thus inducing labor. According to “Compendium of Materia Medica,” this drug opens all orifices, unblocks meridians, penetrates muscles and bones, detoxifies alcohol, eliminates food stagnation, and removes masses. Based on the above, a small amount of this drug placed in capsules, combined with Western medicines furosemide and amiloride, yields excellent diuretic effects. The recommended dosage is 30–60mg per capsule, with additional Tufuling to clear heat and promote diuresis, detoxify all poisons, and have a mild taste, serving as a filler and detoxifying agent for the aforementioned drugs. Furosemide 20mg, amiloride 50mg, musk 10mg, Tufuling 0.2g, packaged into 0.3g capsules, one capsule each time, three times daily.
