Application of Interferon in Hematological Diseases, February 27, 1995

Interferon (IFN-α) is produced by the body's biological cells under the influence of inducers and is a highly active glycoprotein. White blood cells produce IFN-α, fibroblasts produce IFN-β, and T lymphocytes produce IFN-γ.

Indications: chronic myelogenous leukemia, multiple myeloma, malignant lymphoma, malignant melanoma.

The optimal dosage is (1–3) × 10^7^ U/day, or even higher, with a treatment course of about one month. Generally, it is believed that the dosage of this drug is positively correlated with its efficacy.
