Chemotherapy for Nasopharyngeal Cancer on August 28, 1995

Nasopharyngeal cancer is divided into undifferentiated and highly differentiated types. Undifferentiated means it’s not yet clear whether it’s squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma; at most, one can see cell-like nuclei or tubular nuclei. Highly differentiated types, on the other hand, have clearer features, indicating either adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma. CTX and VCR are the basic drugs for nasopharyngeal cancer; for adenocarcinoma, add 5-Fu and methotrexate (MTX), while for squamous cell carcinoma, add PDD, adriamycin (ADM), pingyangmycin (PYM), and bleomycin (BLM).
