Atractylodes 15 g, Chinese yam 15 g, black ginseng 20 g, raw rehmannia 20 g, astragalus 30 g, bupleurum 15 g, peach kernel 10 g, safflower 10 g, angelica 10 g, red peony 10 g, and chuanxiong 10 g. This formula is a replica of Mr. Shi Jinmo’s diabetes treatment formula. Old Master Shi had Atractylodes, Black Ginseng, Rehmannia, Dang Gui, and Ge Gen; this formula replaces Dang Gui with peach kernel and red peony, making it suitable for treating type 2 diabetes. The formula originates from the Endocrinology Department of the Shenzhen Red Cross Hospital, led by Yan Dewen, and was published in the 2nd issue of the “Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine” in 1995. However, the name of Old Master Shi was not mentioned, which is unfair.
