Lung Cancer Medicinal Formulas, May 4, 1998
According to the book “Experiences of Renowned Old Chinese Physicians in Treating Cancer” compiled by Professors Li Jiren and Cheng Yifu from Wuhu Medical College in Anhui Province, there are a total of 16 lung cancer cases. Reviewing all cases, the commonly used medications include: ① Nourishing yin and moistening lungs: Glehnia littoralis, ophiopogon, asparagus, schisandra, American ginseng, raw rehmannia root, cordyceps; ② Clearing heat and detoxifying: Hedyotis diffusa, Hemiphragma hookeri, snake grass, fish mint, Paris polyphylla, Prunella vulgaris; ③ Softening hard masses and dispersing nodules: zhejiang fritillaria, mountain lily, sparganium, curcuma, seaweed, coix seed, winter melon seed, clam powder, lithospermum; ④ Stopping bleeding: Agrimonia pilosa, panax notoginseng, bletilla striata. Among them, Zhu Zengbo once used a formula consisting of poria, codonopsis pilosula, atractylodes, yam, flat bean, winter melon seed, cordyceps, Glehnia littoralis, bletilla striata, Hedyotis diffusa, earth bellflower, panax notoginseng, curcuma, sparganium, clam powder, white ginseng, salvia miltiorrhiza, and coix seed—this formula closely aligns with my own experience in treating lung cancer.
