Treatment Experience of Hematuria 1999.2.11

At the end of the Wu Yin year, Ms. Li from the Laboratory Department of the Provincial People’s Hospital, who had suffered from hematuria for many years without success in treatment at numerous hospitals, sought consultation from me. I diagnosed her condition as focal nephritis and prescribed a formula containing donkey-hide gelatin, charred blood residue, Rehmannia glutinosa, Angelica sinensis, Ophiopogon japonicus, Gardenia jasminoides, Moutan cortex, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Ligustrum lucidum, Eclipta prostrata, Imperata cylindrica, Platycodon grandiflorus, Scutellaria baicalensis, and others. After taking seven doses, her hematuria disappeared and her edema subsided. In general, additional formulas such as Jisheng Shenqi Tang, Guizhi Fuling Wan, Pashan Huangtu, Shiting Baiyin, Longdan Xiegan Tang, Xiao Chaihu Tang, Buzhong Yiqi Tang, Taohong Siwu Tang, Yishen Tang, and Sanhuang Xiexin Tang can be added to the original prescription to achieve comprehensive therapeutic effects.
