Detoxifying Powder for Treating Hemiplegia Caused by Cerebrovascular Accidents, December 15, 1999
According to the first issue of "Shandong Medicine" in 1976, Jiang Dexi used 30 g of earthworm, one centipede, and 9 g of white angelica to treat hemiplegia resulting from cerebrovascular accidents. Earthworm 30 g was the main ingredient, known for dispelling wind-phlegm, relieving acute spasms, activating blood circulation, and treating stroke—making it a top choice for treating phlegm blocking the heart and causing facial asymmetry. Centipede dispelled wind and calmed the spirit, dissolving blood stasis and aiding earthworm as a supporting agent. White angelica relieved wind and pain, as the head region is the only place where wind can reach, guiding the medicine upward to reach the site of the disease.
