Inflammatory Pseudotumor 2000.8.4

Most commonly found in the lungs, known as pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumor. It is a tumor-like proliferative lesion; pathological examination reveals features highly similar to tumors, with complex cellular components under the microscope, making misdiagnosis easy. Given the lack of specific clinical manifestations, as well as the absence of distinctive pathological and physical imaging findings, diagnosis is often challenging. Sometimes, the mass can rapidly enlarge over a short period, easily confused with lung cancer. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice, with intraoperative frozen section biopsy used to confirm the diagnosis and determine the surgical approach.
