Clinical Application of Ammonia Counteragent March 14, 2001
This is a new type of blood ammonia antagonist, a compound of L-ornithine and L-aspartic acid, which greatly benefits liver detoxification. As a branched-chain amino acid, it participates in hepatic oxidative metabolism, inhibiting the production and reabsorption of blood ammonia. The original manufacturer is Skabe Company in France, and a joint venture has been established in China for production. Each vial contains 50–200 mg, with dosage gradually increasing from small to large.
