6. Happy Little Woman: Does a delayed period affect fetal size? At 20 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor said during a recent 4D ultrasound that the fetus is too small and needs oxygen supplementation?
Answer: A few days' advance or delay in menstruation is normal if there are no other symptoms; it does not affect pregnancy, let alone fetal development. A small fetus is not an indication for oxygen therapy.
