1. Happy Little Woman: Can a mother with Hepatitis B "big three positive" breastfeed her baby? Will the virus be transmitted to the baby during pregnancy? Must a Hepatitis B patient receive an isolation injection at seven months of pregnancy to prevent transmission to the baby?
Answer: Mothers with Hepatitis B "big three positive" must undergo triple prevention. The specific injection method is as follows:
- ① Administer 2 million units of immunoglobulin to the mother during the seventh, eighth, and ninth months of pregnancy;
- ② Administer 2 million units of high-efficiency immunoglobulin to the mother immediately after delivery;
- ③ Begin administering three doses of hepatitis B vaccine to the infant immediately after birth.
After completing the triple prevention, mothers with "big three positive" can breastfeed their babies; mothers without triple prevention, however, should not breastfeed.
