Prostatitis
Q: Male, 27 years old, diagnosed with non-bacterial prostatitis. He is currently taking Qianlie Shutong capsules orally and inserting Qianlie An suppositories. Are there any other treatment options?
A: The term “non-bacterial prostatitis” is somewhat inaccurate. In a 27-year-old, most cases of prostatitis are caused by retrograde infection, so it cannot truly be called “non-bacterial.” Only in older adults might prostatic hyperplasia be considered relatively “non-bacterial.” Treating this condition is quite challenging, so it requires careful attention and long-term medication adherence; otherwise, various complications may arise.
