Hypertension and Arteriosclerosis
Question: Can you treat my father? But we’re in Guangdong, and he’s quite elderly, so traveling would be difficult. Would it be okay if I sent you his medical records and you prescribed the medication?
Answer: For hypertension and arteriosclerosis, the best approach is still to lower blood pressure, reduce lipids, and decrease blood viscosity. Without this basic treatment, once atherosclerotic embolism (affecting the heart, brain, or kidneys) occurs, people will need stents—this is merely treating the symptoms rather than the root cause. From my experience, such symptomatic treatments can actually accelerate the progression of atherosclerosis, pushing conventional therapy to an even higher level.
