Postoperative Recovery for Ovarian Tumor Surgery
Question: My mother just turned 60 and recently underwent ovarian tumor removal surgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou University. The surgery was for advanced-stage cancer, and she received intraperitoneal carboplatin chemotherapy and intravenous paclitaxel chemotherapy afterward. However, due to her extremely weak physical condition, I’m worried she won’t be able to continue with further chemotherapy. Could you advise whether traditional Chinese medicine can help alleviate her condition and prevent recurrence?
Answer: Yes, it’s possible. At this stage, traditional Chinese medicine can be used for postoperative recovery. By applying syndrome differentiation, it can improve quality of life and prolong survival.
