Contagious Molluscum (Children)
Question: My cousin’s child is three years old and was born with a few contagious molluscum lesions on the forehead. What treatment options are available, and can it be completely cured?
Answer: Contagious molluscum is highly contagious, especially among children. If the number of lesions is small, first use a sterilized needle to puncture them, disinfect with alcohol, isolate the child from others, and if conditions permit, administer interferon injections.
