The following three formulas are commonly used: ① Gui Zhi Fuzheng Pill with Additions: Cinnamon Twig 10g, Poria 12g, White Peony 15g, Cortex Phellodendri 10g, Peach Kernel 10g, Angelica Sinensis 10g, Rehmannia Root 12g, Chuanxiong 6g, Safflower 3g, Sanqi 3g (divided and administered separately), Leech Powder 10g (divided and administered separately), decocted in water and taken once daily. This formula is suitable for young and middle-aged women with strong constitutions, composed of Gui Zhi Fuzheng Pill combined with Tao Hong Si Wu Tang, supplemented with Sanqi and Leeches to enhance blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis. ② Wen Jing Tang with Additions: Codonopsis 10g, Cinnamon Twig 10g, Collagen 10g (dissolved), Ophiopogon 10g, Evodia Fruit 10g, Angelica Sinensis 10g, Chuanxiong 6g, Rehmannia Root 12g, Red Peony 10g, Peach Kernel 10g, Safflower 3g, Hemp Seeds 10g, Dried Ginger 6g, Four Dates 4 pieces, Prepared Licorice 6g, Cyperus Rotundus 6g, Motherwort 15g, decocted in water and taken once daily. This formula is suitable for young and middle-aged women of childbearing age who experience light menstrual flow, delayed periods, or even amenorrhea. It combines Da Wen Jing Tang with Tao Hong Si Wu Tang, offering both blood circulation and blood-activating properties, but its primary function is to warm and dispel cold. ③ Dan Zhi Xiao Yao San with Additions: Angelica Sinensis 10g, White Atractylodes Rhizome 10g, White Peony 10g, Poria 12g, Bupleurum 10g, Fresh Ginger 6g, Mint 3g, Rehmannia Root 12g, Chinese Hawthorn 10g, Chinese Yam 10g, Alisma 10g, Deer Antler 10g, Peach Kernel 10g, Deer Antler 3g (divided and administered separately), decocted in water and taken once daily. This formula is suitable for middle-aged women experiencing decreased libido and earlier-than-normal menstrual cycles. By combining Dan Zhi Xiao Yao San, Gui Fu Ba Wei Wan, and Gui Zhi Fuzheng Pill with Additions, the formula aims to enhance endocrine function and increase estrogen secretion. Deer Antler, a key ingredient in this formula, serves as a crucial element—containing both androgens and estrogens. While it is traditionally used for male erectile dysfunction, it now also helps treat premature aging in women. This approach exemplifies the principle: “Those who nourish yang well should nourish yin within yin; those who nourish yin well should nourish yang within yang.”
