I. Symptom Characteristics
(1) Upper abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite and nausea, bloating and fullness, but the abdomen does not appear distended; belching and eructation, with a sensation of heaviness.
(2) Deep-seated dull pain in the upper abdomen, worsening after meals, mild tenderness, with tender points often changing depending on whether standing or lying down. This may be related to the pull caused by the descent of intra-abdominal organs.
(3) Food retention in the stomach, so when walking there is a "clunk-clunk" sound of liquid sloshing around.
(4) Severe patients may experience syncope upon standing.
(5) Persistent constipation and difficulty urinating. Female patients may experience dysmenorrhea, menstrual irregularities, dizziness, insomnia, slowed reactions, and depression.
