1 Conclusion
BALB/C mice were subjected to whole-body irradiation with 3.0 Gy of γ-rays from a linear accelerator, followed by intravenous infusion of thymus lymph node cell suspension derived from DBA/2 mice within 4 hours. One week after model establishment, the mice exhibited significantly reduced levels of peripheral blood hemoglobin, white blood cells, and platelets, while bone marrow smears revealed hypoproliferation of the bone marrow, confirming the successful induction of an immune-mediated aplastic anemia model.
Pei's Shengxue Granules can significantly increase peripheral blood hemoglobin, white blood cells, and platelet counts in aplastic anemia model mice (particularly evident in the medium- and low-dose groups), though the increase in red blood cell counts is a more gradual process.
Pei's Shengxue Granules can elevate CD4⁺ levels and reduce CD8⁺ levels in the spleen of aplastic anemia model mice, while simultaneously adjusting the CD4⁺/CD8⁺ ratio, thus exerting an immunomodulatory effect.
Pathological section examination of the mouse spleen indicates that Pei's Shengxue Granules can alleviate pathological changes in the spleen of aplastic anemia model mice, reduce the rate of lymphocyte apoptosis, promote the recovery of germinal centers, expand the white pulp area, thin the capsule, and restore dilated sinusoids to near-normal conditions.
