2.3 Measurement of Thymus and Spleen Indices
Twenty-four hours after the last dose, the animals were euthanized by exsanguination through eye enucleation. The thymus and spleen were then removed and weighed. The calculation methods are as follows [22]:
- Thymus index = (Thymus weight / (Final body weight - Tumor weight)) × 10 (mg/10 g)
- Spleen index = (Spleen weight / (Final body weight - Tumor weight)) × 10 (mg/10 g)
