2.2 Animal Grouping and Dosage

Twenty-four hours after inoculation, the animals were randomly divided into:

• Pei's Blood-Boosting Granules (PG) high-dose group (10 g/kg, equivalent to 20 times the adult dosage)
• Medium-dose group (5 g/kg, 10 times)
• Low-dose group (2.5 g/kg, 5 times)
• Zhenqi Fuzheng Granules (ZG) control group (dose: 1.67 g/kg, equivalent to 10 times the adult clinical dosage)
• Model control group
• Normal control group

Each group consisted of 10 animals. Pei's Blood-Boosting Granules and Zhenqi Fuzheng Granules were fully dissolved in distilled water immediately before use [21]. The experimental groups were administered an equal volume (0.2 mL/10 g) of the drug by gavage [22], while the normal and model groups received an equal amount of distilled water, once daily for 15 consecutive days [20].
