2 Reinforcing righteous qi and consolidating the root cause is the basic principle for treating malignant tumors
Professor Pei believes that righteous qi deficiency refers to the depletion of yin-yang and qi-blood, as well as damage to the zang-fu organs, all of which are interconnected and inseparable. Among them, the spleen and kidneys are the main links in the evolution of righteous qi deficiency: the former is the postnatal foundation and the “sea of food and water,” capable of transforming food and water into qi and blood to nourish the zang-fu organs; the latter is the innate foundation and the source of essence and yang, storing true yin and embodying original yang, serving as the fundamental basis for the yin-yang of the zang-fu organs.
