3.1 General Condition of Tumor-Bearing Mice

General observations show that starting from the third day, mice in the tumor model group begin to exhibit disheveled fur, with a faintly visible tumor mass under the skin of the right anterior axilla. The mice display poor mental state, reduced appetite, sluggish activity, huddling together, lethargy, drowsiness, dull and brittle fur, and darkened fur color. Between the fifth and seventh days after modeling, the tumor grows rapidly, with an uneven surface and multiple nodules whose boundaries are unclear. By the eighth to tenth days, all mice in the model group show cachexia, and some even develop ascites. At the end of the experiment, dissection of the model group mice reveals that the tumor has grown much more vigorously than in the medicated groups. In contrast, mice in the Pei's Hematopoietic Granules dosage groups, compared with the model group, have shinier fur, better mental state and diet, and slower tumor growth.
