1 Conclusion
This experiment employed immunohistochemistry, image analysis, and other methods to quantitatively assess the effects of different drugs on H22 tumor-bearing mice by measuring tumor weight, anti-tumor rate, thymus index, and spleen index, examining both cell proliferation and apoptosis. Through studying the anti-tumor mechanisms of Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill, the following conclusions were drawn:
1.1 Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill can significantly inhibit the growth of H22 tumors in bearing mice and improve their survival conditions.
Research on Pei Zhengxue’s Series of Formulas and Medications
Moreover, it demonstrates remarkable anti-tumor effects.
1.2 By measuring the thymus and spleen indices of immune organs in H22 tumor-bearing mice, it was preliminarily determined that Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill can significantly enhance the immune function of liver cancer mice, with statistically significant differences compared with the Compound Cantharid group and the control group.
1.3 Immunohistochemical results indicate that Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill can inhibit liver cancer cell proliferation by increasing the expression level of P27 protein, thereby exerting an anti-tumor effect; and can promote liver cancer cell apoptosis by inhibiting the expression level of Bcl-2 protein, thus achieving the effect of inhibiting tumor growth.
2 Reflections and Prospects
Professor Pei Zhengxue, through more than forty years of clinical practice, has developed the purely traditional Chinese medicine preparation Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill, which has the effects of strengthening the spleen and benefiting qi, promoting qi circulation and blood activation to remove stasis, softening hard masses and dispersing nodules, and clearing heat and detoxifying. It has achieved remarkable therapeutic effects in treating primary liver cancer and gastric cancer, improving patients’ immunity, enhancing surgical tolerance, alleviating side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, preventing tumor recurrence and metastasis, prolonging survival time with tumors, improving quality of life, and increasing long-term survival rates. The feasibility of this research topic was guided by clinical experience, avoiding blind experimentation. In future research, by utilizing modern scientific technologies to delve deeper into the anti-tumor mechanisms of Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill at the cellular and molecular levels, and studying its protective effects on the immune system, we can provide a more comprehensive and scientific theoretical foundation for the clinical application of Pei’s Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill, further exploring Professor Pei Zhengxue’s ideas and methods of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine for cancer prevention and treatment.
