12. Ho Xiang Powder (from “Direct Instructions on Pediatric Medicines”)

Indications: Children with spleen-stomach heat, flushed face, vomiting and drooling.

Take two qian each of Ophiopogon japonicus (core removed, cultivated), Pinellia ternata, and roasted licorice, plus one liang of Ho Xiang leaves.

Grind roughly, take three qian each time, boil in water.

Note: In the “Treasure Edition” of “Direct Instructions on Pediatric Medicines,” this formula also includes half a liang of Gypsum, which is correct.
