Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain in blood-related cases is mostly due to blood stasis; please refer to the section on blood stasis for details. However, there are also cases of gas pain, especially in individuals with blood loss, where the qi is initially out of balance, leading to uneven blood distribution and subsequent vomiting and nosebleeds. Nevertheless, abdominal pain in blood-related cases is different from abdominal pain in other diseases. In other diseases, the pain is often severe, whereas in blood-related cases, the pain is not as intense, but there is a feeling of stagnation and accumulation in the chest and abdomen, suggesting the need for Xiaoyao Powder combined with Turmeric, Fragrant Root, Betel Nut, and Tiandai Wuyao for treatment. Please refer to the section on blood stasis and fullness for more details.
[Commentary] Abdominal pain in blood-related cases is mainly due to blood, with less contribution from qi. The former is similar to allergic purpura and abdominal pain experienced by women after childbirth, while the latter is often due to autonomic nervous system dysfunction in the gastrointestinal tract.
