Foshou San, also known as Guixiong Tang
Five qian of angelica root, three qian of chuanxiong.
Boiled in equal parts with alcohol and water. The pungent taste promotes qi circulation, while the warmth promotes blood circulation, and the juice can generate blood. These two herbs are essential for activating and circulating blood.
[Note] Xu Wenzhong’s formula. Used to treat abdominal distension and pain in young women, as well as various ailments in women before and after childbirth. It can also be used for injuries from falls and blows, as well as pain and irritability.
