Grind these ingredients into pills, with shenqu and ginger juice as binders. Take them before bed, swallowing with honey, lying on your back so the medicine flows into the lungs, eliminating phlegm at the root. Phlegm is essentially water, trapped by cold, blocked by qi, and congealed by fire, leading to sticky, overflowing mucus that cannot be removed. This formula focuses on drying, descending, falling, and eliminating water, while mint is used to dispel cold and huangqin to clear fire—both are excellent. Alum cleans murky water, tooth soap removes sweat and grime, and together they are superb at eliminating phlegm. The herbs are quite potent, so honey is used to moderate their strength. According to Ge Kejiu's method, after taking this formula, one should also take Taiping Wan to replenish. It shows that while it clears the real problem, it is also appropriate to supplement the weak. However, when facing real problems, one should not be afraid to use it.

[Note] This formula originates from "Shi Yao Shen Shu." It treats conditions where fire is too strong and phlegm is too abundant.
