Case study of treating severe autonomic dysfunction on May 7, 1979
In April 1979, Mr. He, nephew of Master He from the Lanzhou Veterinary Pharmaceutical Factory, a 19-year-old male, suffered from headaches, dizziness, cold back, excessive sweating, with the back feeling cooler after sweating, palpitations, restlessness, hot palms and soles, and occasional nasal congestion. Despite seeking treatment from multiple sources, there was no improvement. The following prescription brought relatively satisfactory results.
Prescription: Curculigo orchioides 6g, Epimedium 6g, Morinda officinalis 10g, Anemarrhena asphodeloides 6g, Phellodendron amurense 6g, Angelica sinensis 10g, Guizhi 10g, white peony 15g, licorice 6g, ginger 6g, jujube 10g, Ephedra sinica 10g.
This person often catches colds, experiencing bitter taste, dry throat, and dizziness whenever he has a cold, so he was additionally given Xiao Chaihu Tang, taking ten doses to improve his condition afterward.
