The Role of Terminalia in Ophthalmology, June 11, 1986
In Indian folk medicine, this herb is mainly used to treat eye inflammation. The author treated experimental uveitis with a 5% terminalia alcohol extract, which proved effective. This solution did not cause any obvious irritation to the eyes and could be safely used for ophthalmic inflammation. (“Abstracts of Papers from the Oriental Medical Society”)
