Vomiting and electrolyte disturbances are the most common clinical symptoms of acute leukemia. Due to elevated serum lysozyme levels in acute patients, renal tubules are damaged, leading to renal insufficiency, which in turn exacerbates vomiting and electrolyte disturbances. Most patients experience nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy.
