This is an orally administered semi-synthetic penicillin, chemically known as amoxicillin-penicillin dry syrup. It is not broken down by digestive enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in better absorption and higher concentrations in the bloodstream. Its antibacterial spectrum is similar to ampicillin, but slightly stronger, with good efficacy against various streptococci, pneumococci, Staphylococcus aureus, tetanus bacilli, influenza bacilli, Escherichia coli, Shigella, and Clostridium species. It is usually available in bottle and bag formats. ①Bottle format: 1.5g mixed with 60mL of water, shaken well, adults take 10–20mL three times daily, children take less. ②Bag format: each bag contains 0.25g or 0.125g; adults take 0.25–0.5g three times daily. Produced by Haikou Single City Pharmaceutical Factory.
