This product is extracted from the fruits of Aesculus hippocastanum, a plant belonging to the Hippocastanaceae family. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, microcirculation-regulating, and wound-healing effects. The first two effects are similar to those of hormones, while the latter two are akin to those of 654-2. The most distinctive feature of this drug is its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier; therefore, its primary clinical applications include eliminating cerebral edema, reducing intracranial pressure, and improving brain function. Usage: Each vial contains 5 mg, administer 30 mg per dose, diluted in 250–500 mL of 10% glucose solution for intravenous drip, up to twice daily; in emergency situations, administer 20 mg of this drug mixed with 40–50 mL of 10% glucose solution via intravenous push.
