Indicators of Blood Thickening, Viscosity, Coagulation, and Aggregation, August 5, 1997
It is generally believed that these four indicators form the pathological basis of coronary artery sclerosis and are reflected in microscopic measurements. ①Thickening: Whole blood viscosity (mPa·s), measured at high shear, medium shear, and low shear; high shear and low shear are commonly used indicators, with normal values around 5 for high shear and around 10 for low shear. ②Viscosity: Plasma viscosity (mPa·s), with a normal value of about 1.5. ③Coagulation: Quantitative measurement of fibrinogen, with a normal value of 2–4 g/L. ④Aggregation: Red blood cell aggregation index, with a normal value of around 10. These four indicators are related to many factors, with the closest connection being to blood lipids—cholesterol (CHO), triglycerides (TG), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL)—especially the first two. Some foreign studies have pointed out that fibrinogen levels are linked to coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction, suggesting that this indicator has significant clinical importance.
