Si Nisi San and Xiang Sha Liu Jun Tang 1997.12.15
Si Nisi San significantly increases gastric mucosal blood flow, reduces gastric mucosal damage, and mildly inhibits gastric acid secretion. Reducing gastric mucosal damage means protecting the gastric mucosa, an effect achieved by increasing blood flow to the mucosa, but its inhibition of gastric acid is weaker than that of H-receptor antagonists.
Liu Jun Tang also offers some protection to the gastric mucosa, but its primary function is to promote gastric emptying and enhance the physiological rhythmic relaxation of the stomach during food intake. Therefore, the protective effect of Si Nisi San and the promoting effect of Liu Jun Tang complement each other perfectly in treating gastritis and duodenal ulcers, working synergistically and enhancing each other's effects. When treating cirrhosis and liver cancer, I often use Si Nisi San as the main prescription, and it frequently shows remarkable efficacy in clinical practice. The reason lies in its ability to both soothe the liver and protect the gastric mucosa; if combined with Liu Jun Tang, the effect is even more pronounced.
