Terbinafine, 500 mg daily for 6–12 months, is used to treat various chromoblastomycoses with excellent efficacy; even with long-term use, it remains well tolerated. This drug is the first-line treatment for tropical fungal diseases, as it not only has antifungal activity but also anti-fibrotic effects, resulting in a cure rate of up to 85%. Chromoblastomycosis, commonly referred to as chromomycosis, is a chronic fungal infection characterized by dermal fibrosis accompanied by granulation tissue proliferation. The lesions appear wart-like or papillary and often arise from bacterial suppurative infections. The disease progresses slowly over decades, with irreversible fibrous tissue hyperplasia and the production of neutrophil antibodies. The most common region for chromomycosis is Madagascar, though sporadic cases can be found in other parts of the world.

Metoprolol for the treatment of chronic heart failure. Metoprolol is a second-generation β-blocker; the first-generation drug is propranolol, also known as propranolol, while metoprolol is also called metoprolol. Metoprolol can improve the hemodynamics of chronic heart failure, thereby partially correcting the condition.
