2. Ultrasound Description
Question: The liver's cross-sectional shape is normal, and its volume is not large. The echo intensity in the anterior part of the liver is enhanced, while the posterior part is slightly weaker and attenuated, with uniform distribution. The intrahepatic duct structure is still visible. A mass image is seen in the left lobe of the liver, measuring approximately 1.7 × 1.5 cm, round in shape, with no hypoechoic dark area inside, clear and thin walls, and enhanced echoes in the posterior region. Is this fatty liver considered severe?
Answer: This is mild fatty liver. There are two possibilities for the round mass: if it is uniformly hypoechoic, it is a hepatic cyst; if it is non-uniform, it may be a hemangioma.
