Question: Female, 24 years old. Physical examination shows positive results for the second and fifth items in the hepatitis B two-and-a-half test, with elevated ALT and AST levels. What methods or dietary therapies can solve this problem?
Answer: I suspect you have hepatitis B small three yang, because the order of testing for the two-and-a-half test varies from place to place. Only those with positive e antigen are considered big three yang. Dietary therapy alone is not enough, because hepatitis B is a chronic progressive disease. Without systematic treatment, even small three yang can relapse at some point in life. All hepatitis B patients need systematic treatment until the surface antigen turns negative, though this is an extremely slow process.
