4. Vascular Diseases

As early as 1954, the Cangzhou Special District Hospital in China used Simiao Yong’an Tang to treat thromboangiitis obliterans, achieving some therapeutic effect, though the results were never entirely satisfactory. In recent years, various regions have gradually adopted Tongmai Ling, Mao Dongqing, angelica, motherwort, sanleng, e zhu, and salvia to treat this condition, producing noticeable effects and significantly reducing the amputation rate. The Xuanwu Hospital in Beijing used activating blood circulation and removing stasis to treat 606 cases of thrombotic phlebitis, achieving satisfactory results. Shanghai used Guizhi Fuling Wan, while Sichuan used Shan Haitang to treat this condition, both yielding good results.
