Forty days after gavage administration, blood samples were collected from the tail veins of the mice for platelet count measurement. However, the platelet values could not be statistically analyzed because mouse platelets are nearly a hundred times higher than the normal range for human platelets. Due to limited equipment, the Japanese Kitazato CA-800 three-part blood analyzer used in the experiment (at the Laboratory Department of Qilihe District People’s Hospital in Lanzhou) can only measure platelet counts up to 999×10⁹/L, making statistical analysis impossible. Nevertheless, except for the normal group, all aplastic anemia model mice showed a clear upward trend in platelet counts after medication (compared with the week following model establishment).
